At the first hour of Ekushey February, the Shaheed Dibosh (Martyrs’ Day) and International Mother Language Day, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, paid solemn tribute to the language martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar.
After midnight, President Md. Shahabuddin was the first to place a wreath in tribute. Then, at 12:12 AM, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, placed a floral wreath at the Central Shaheed Minar, paying his respects to the language martyrs. He stood in silent reverence for a moment, honoring their memory.
Following the tributes of the President and the Chief Adviser, Chief Justice Syed Rafat Ahmed, members of the interim government’s advisory council, diplomats from various countries, Chief Election Commissioner A. M. M. Nasir Uddin, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hasan, and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan also laid wreaths in tribute.
